Praxis Core Test
All candidates in an undergraduate teacher education program must pass the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators tests in reading, writing, and mathematics according to the State of Delaware guidelines upon completion of 60 credit hours and/or prior to admission to upper-level education courses.
Students can take a test an unlimited number of times in order to achieve a passing score. The passing scores are listed in the table below.

If your ACT, SAT, and/or GRE scores are reported in UDSIS, then UD will accept these scores as proof of having met the test exemptions. However, when applying for certification in Delaware and in other states which may allow similar exemptions, you will need to send the scores to the Delaware Department of Education or departments of education in other states. You can contact ACT to request official copies of your ACT scores, the College Board to request official copies of your SAT scores, the Educational Testing Service to request official copies of your GRE scores.
All students must pass the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators test in writing; there is no exemption for this test.
