College Awareness Day
On May 4th, the University of Delaware hosted a College Awareness Day for 30 ninth grade students from Glasgow High School. The ninth grade students participate in Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) at Glasgow, a national program designed to help increase the number of students who enroll in four-year colleges. College Awareness day featured three sessions. University students in Academic Support Program Inspiring Renaissance Educators (ASPIRE) presented a workshop focusing on all aspects of college preparation, including financial planning. Students in the School of Education presented a session on micro-teaching lesson plans. At the end of the day, the Office of Admissions took the students on a campus tour. For more information ….
